Working in grey makes the structure, lighting and physical dimension aspects more prominent, making the artwork appear more realistic across all tones of skin. I include solid black artwork (aka tribal) in this catagory based on the color of the ink it's done with. Go figure.
The best part is being able to help a customer turn their description of a personal idea into an actual visual.
